William L. Black, age 75, Beloved husband of Patricia (nee Johnson) Black for 54 years; Loving father of the late William J. and Jennifer (Steve) Cunningham and former father in law of Doreen Dwyer; Cherished grandfather of William and Kaz; Dear brother-in-law of Gary (Donna) Johnson; Fond uncle of Eric (Kerri) Johnson and Paula (Chad) Bradley; Great uncle to many nieces and nephews; Dear son of the late James and Beverley Black. Proud Eagle Scout, Alpha Phi Omega member, Kiwanian for 44 years, board member of the Walk-In Ministry of Itasca, president of the former Sweet Water Foundation; Faithful member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church; Devoted Teacher, Principal, and Administrator of District 7 for 34 years, Assistant Superintendent at the DuPage Regional Office of Education for 19 years, and an active member of Illinois Association of School Business Officials (IASBO) for many years. Memorial Visitation will be held Saturday September 24th from 2:00 p.m. until time of Service at 3:00 p.m. at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church 1213 Army Trail Blvd, Addison, IL. Interment private.
