Biography

Thomas K. Sickel, age 57, passed away on October 12, 2022, at his home in Oak Brook. Tom was born on November 22, 1964, to his mother Norine Sickel and father Edward Sickel. He was the youngest of 4 boys: John Sickel, Steve Sickel, and Daniel Sickel. He had a true youngest child personality and never grew up. He spent the majority of his youth wrestling and getting into trouble. He graduated high school from Lake Park and ventured out into the world to start working. Tom always had a special charm and could walk into a room with a goal to make at least one person laugh. He was likable to many which made him a very good businessman. He started a company, Knight Enterprises, with his father and built it up to what it is today. He has three children of his own, Patrick Sickel, Magen Hey, and Austin Corrigan. He loved being a grandfather to James, Bentley, Colson, and Penelope. He dedicated the last of his life to growing his business which will live on in the legacy of his children and brother, Steve. He will be welcomed in heaven by his father, his mother, and brother Dan. He has lived through many experiences that shaped him to be that man that he was, and we will forever cherish the memory of him that we hold in our hearts. Memorial Visitation will be held Thursday, October 20th from 3:00-8:00 p.m. at The Oaks Funeral Home 1201 E Irving Park Rd (at Prospect), Itasca. Interment private.
