Biography

Ronald Schnell, age 76, longtime resident of Bensenville; Beloved husband of the late Patricia nee Wisniewski; Loving father of Pam Schnell and Michael Peacock; Dear brother of Ruth (Noel) Tebo and Gene (Cheryl) Schnell; Son of the late Dorothy and Eugene Schnell. Ron was a beloved brother-in-law, cousin, uncle to many, and a cherished friend. A proud U.S. Army Vietnam Veteran. Ron enjoyed walking the paths in Itasca and Wood Dale. He often logged 10,000 steps before others started the day. He enjoyed fishing and the outdoors. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He spent his summers at his park home at Lakeland Campground, where he enjoyed pool time and ‘Power Hour’ with family and friends. Ron especially enjoyed riding his bike on various bike paths in Illinois and Wisconsin. In lieu of flowers donations to Veterans organizations or Substance Abuse programs would be greatly appreciated. Visitation Friday, August 5th, 3:00 – 8:00 pm and Saturday, August 6th, 8:00 am until time of Funeral 10:00 am at The Oaks Funeral Home 1201 E. Irving Park Road (at Prospect), Itasca.
