Patricia Lynn Kurzka (McCoy)
With deep sadness, we announce the passing of Patricia Lynn Kurzka, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Patricia’s boundless energy, fierce loyalty, and unforgettable laughter left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
Born to George and Helen McCoy (Barnes), Patricia was a lifelong advocate and steadfast support for her family and friends. She is survived by her loving husband, Bob Kurzka, and her children, Helen Will (Gary) and Sabrina Chung. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Christian McCoy, Madison and Juliana Will, Athena and Celina Zapata, Sebastian Kurzka and great grandchild Stefania McCoy. Patricia held a special place in her heart for her extended family, including her stepchildren Dana Zapata (Alex), Allison Linginfelter (Aaron) and Andrew Kurzka.
As a grandmother, Patricia was simply “awesome,” filling every gathering with joy, warmth, and her “cackle heard ’round the world.” Known for her sharp wit, love of Chicago sports, and sage advice, she brought laughter and love wherever she went.
Patricia’s legacy of being the life of the party, love, and fierce loyalty will live on in all who were lucky enough to share in her life.
