Biography

Nelva Kiokemeister Beloved wife of the late Richard; Loving mother of Jay (Fleurette) and Julie Callahan; Cherished Grandmother of Kali, Shae, Britt, and Owen; Fond Sister of William, Alice, and the late Henry; Dear Daughter of the late William and Henrietta Slager. Nelva cherished her family, she never missed an opportunity to spend time with her grandchildren, she was their biggest cheerleader. She loved gardening and was a member of the Itasca Garden Club. Nelva loved music and enjoyed singing. She was a member of the church choir and looked forward to singing in the Community Christmas Concert for many years. Nelva was a pilar with in her church, to which she was a long-standing member as well as on various committees. Nelva enjoyed traveling, especially when visiting friends. She brought so much joy and love to so many and will be deeply missed.
