Lyndon John Macak, 80 of Wood Dale, Illinois, passed away on August 8, 2023. He was born on December 29, 1942, in Chicago, Illinois. Lyndon was a hard-working, generous, caring and witty individual, known for his versatility in various areas of expertise.
Lyndon was a member of the Masonic Lodge of Union Park for over 30 years, as well as a dedicated member of the Shriners and the Dombrowski Club. He took great pleasure in spending time with his family and was an avid car enthusiast. Lyndon’s passion for automobiles was evident in his vast knowledge and appreciation for them.
He was the beloved husband of Judith Macak for 56 years and a loving father to Dionne (Ed) Spadoni and Todd (Kelly) Macak. Lyndon cherished his role as a grandfather to Tyler Becker, Tia Becker, Brandon Macak, Brody Macak and Brett Macak. He also had the joy of being a great-grandfather to Jaycee Jones and Waylon Jones. Lyndon’s devotion to his family was unwavering, and he leaves behind cherished memories that will be forever treasured.
Lyndon was preceded in death by his parents, William “Butch” and Eleanor Macak, and his brother, Joseph Macak. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
A celebration of Lyndon’s life will be held on Sunday, August 13, 2023, at The Oaks Funeral Home, located at 1201 E Irving Park Rd, Itasca, IL 60143. The visitation hours will be from 9:00 am to 11:00 am. with Funeral Service beginning at 11:00 a.m. Following the service, Masonic and graveside services will take place at Mount Emblem Cemetery, located at 520 E Grand Ave, Elmhurst, IL 60126, beginning at 1:00 pm.
