Linda Anne Elizabeth Ragusin went to Heaven on Thursday, February 4th at 9:42 A.M. at age 62. She fought a long battle with breast cancer for nearly 6 years. She was resilient and positive throughout her entire fight with cancer. She lived each day to the fullest. Linda was the cherished mother to Bailey, Natalie, and Julian; dearest daughter of Gerald Sr. and the late Dolores Ragusin; loving sister of Jerry Jr. (Linda) and Sallie; and adored auntie of Olivia, Samantha, Anthony, Alexandra, and Marissa. She was a beloved cousin, niece, and friend to many. Linda was a devoted and faithful follower of Jesus. The visitation service will be on Monday February 8th from 3:00 - 8:00 P.M. at The Oaks Funeral Home. (1201 E. Irving Park Road (at Prospect) in Itasca. The Catholic Mass on Tuesday, February 9th at 10:30 A.M. will be live-streamed from St. Walter Church in Roselle where Linda was a parishioner. Linda will be buried at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside where her mother is also buried. Linda was born in Oak Park, Illinois on December 8th, 1958. After spending part of her childhood living in Melrose Park, Linda moved to Medinah with her family at age 9. She spent most of her life living in Medinah, and she died in the same house she grew up in. Linda attended Lake Park High School like all three of her children. She graduated with her bachelor’s degree from Bradley University where she was a member of Chi Omega sorority. After graduating, Linda spent time working as a flight attendant. She was a professional make-up artist for many years. More recently, Linda was a nurturing nanny. Everyone who knew Linda knows that she was a true beauty inside and out. She was an outgoing and vibrant woman, touching the lives of all she crossed paths with. Linda was very selfless and was the most loving mother to her three children. She was fashionable, crafty, creative, and hilarious. Linda was the best gift-giver and always had an eye for decor. Linda will be greatly missed.
