Biography

Kathleen King nee Keane. Born in Knockkerra, Co. Clare, Ireland April 9, 1933. Kathleen immigrated from Ireland at the young age of 17. Passed away surrounded by her family on August 24, 2021. Beloved wife of the late Mike; Cherished mother of Colleen (Tom) Scheitz, Tim (Char) and Michael; Loving Grandma of Margaret (Nick) Schumacher, Eric Scheitz (fiancée Jessica Stengel), Timmie (Melissa) King and Kristina King; Devoted “Granny” to her Great grandchildren, Patrick, Owen and Clare Schumacher, Noah, Sydney, Liam, Jameson & Kennedi King; Dear sister of Eileen Brophy and the late James Keane, Mary Gallagher, Margaret Kosznik, Thomas Keane, Bridie Deegan, Nonie Frawley, Carmel King, Patrick Keane, Pauline Haran, Imy McEnteggart, Senan Keane; Dear sister-in-law of Theresa Keane; Fond cousin of Sr. Margie Keane RSM & Joan Foote; Treasured aunt of many nieces & nephews in the US, Ireland and England. Avid fan of the Chicago Blackhawks, White Sox and anything golf. Visitation Saturday 9:00 am until time of funeral, 11:00 am at The Oaks Funeral Home 1201 E. Irving Park Road (at Prospect), Itasca to Saint Walter Church, Roselle. Mass 11:30 am. Interment Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
