Biography

Jennifer Lee Saele (nee Parks) of Itasca, IL, age 49; beloved wife of Gregory John Saele, loving mother of Jack, Jeffrey, and Kelci; Devoted daughter of Steven and Paula (nee Karsel) Parks; Cherished sister of Beverly (Michael) Jacobs and Jacqueline (Anthony) Raitano; Dear aunt of many nieces and nephews. Born in Chicago and raised in Glenview, IL. Jenny graduated from Glenbrook South High School, and Valparaiso University, and earned an MBA from DePaul University. She worked as a CPA for Price Waterhouse in Milwaukee, and the McDonalds Corporation in Oakbrook, IL, and was a longtime member of St. Luke Lutheran Church in Itasca. Jenny loved spending time with her children, encouraging their academic and musical education. Choir, band, piano, and percussion, practice and performances, along with the track and cross country meets of her children were highlights in her life. She loved family vacations, and their meticulous planning, and loved to chronical family history and trips in detailed scrap books. She also loved to play card and board games with her children, Sunday night dinners with her extended family, and spending time at the lake. Substitute teaching and volunteering in the schools of Itasca, and in support of her children’s activities, was another important part of Jenny’s life. Visitation Tuesday, September 29th 3:00 – 8:00 p.m. at The Oaks Funeral Home 1201 E. Irving Park Road (at Prospect), Itasca. Please follow Covid guidelines by keeping your visit brief while wearing facemasks and maintaining social distancing. Family and friends will meet Wednesday, September 30th at The Lutheran Church of Saint Luke 410 S Rush St, Itasca, IL for a Lying in State 10:00 a.m. until the Funeral Service, 11:00 a.m. Interment private.
