James Berardi Beloved Husband of Diane “Dina” nee Griseta; Treasured father of Peter James and Livia Maria (Scott Anthony) Krzeminski; Loving brother of the late Grace (Frank) Cairo, Anna (Frank) Mancini, Gaetano (Ninetta), Giovanna (Vito) Ventrella; Cherished son of the late Pietro and Livia; Dear Brother-in-law of Giovanna (the late Nick) Comes, Esther (the late Corrado) Manfredi, Peter Griseta, Vincent Griseta, the late Frank (the late Antoinetta) Griseta, the late Rosa (Joe) Comes, the late Vito (the late Carole) Griseta; Beloved cousin to many in the Berardi and Griseta families; Precious Uncle and Great Uncle to many nieces and nephews, all whom he loved dearly; Respected Wire Manufacturer at Belden Inc; Proud U.S. Army Korean Conflict veteran; Revered bartender at Brunetti’s Italian Restaurant; In Post-Retirement, proudly worked at The Itasca Bank & Trust. A kind, gentle, humble, honorable man devoted to his family; greatly missed, never forgotten. In lieu of flowers, the family will be making donations to a variety of select charities which uniquely memorialize James’ life as well as his passions. Visitation will take place on Friday, November 11th 3:00-8:00pm and Saturday, November 12th 8:00-9:30am at The Oaks Funeral Home, 1201 E Irving Park Rd (at Prospect) in Itasca immediately followed by a procession to the 10:00am Funeral Mass at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, 551 N Rush St, in Itasca.
