Biography

Imelda Dianne Lewis (née McMahon), beloved aunt and friend, passed away on Sunday, March 19, 2023 at age 74. As the youngest of seven children she was affectionately known as Babe to her family members. She was preceded in death by all six of her siblings – brothers William, Robert, and James, and sisters Noreen, Betty, and Madonna – as well as her mother and father Norine and William McMahon. She is survived by her many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. Imelda led a quiet and independent life she loved and visited often with her family. She was an enthusiastic reader and charmed many with her cheeky smile and mischievous sense of humor — a trait she shared with her sisters. We like to think the four of them are together again, laughing at a joke that no one else is in on. Visitation is Friday, March 24, 2023 from 3 p.m. until service 7 p.m. at The Oaks Funeral Home, 1201 E. Irving Park Rd (at Prospect), Itasca. Interment private.
