Biography

Daniel (Danny) Rosenberg, Cherished son of Linda and the late Joseph; Loved grandson of Margaret Frey; Beloved brother of Donald (Sarah), Jessica (Alex) Whitman, and Madeline; Devoted Uncle of Gemma, Logan, and Opal; Dear nephew of Susan Ralph, Christina (Jerry) Martens, and Ann (Steve) Dorando, as well as Molly (Steve) Gerth and Patty (Brad) Biggar; Lifelong companion of Patches; and Beloved of many cousins; joined his father on an eternal fishing trip, June 18, 2022 at the age of 41. Danny was the type of person who loved living life, laughing daily, and was proud to work as part of the third generation of Frey & Weiss Precision Machining where he worked programming milling machines and designing new processes. Danny was mechanically gifted and loved spending his free time fixing things like classic cars and trucks, minibikes, boats, houses, lawnmowers, or anything someone needed help with. Frequently, this would consist of Danny working on or completing one of his mother’s endless projects, and he would always make time to help her. Danny was above all a kindhearted and caring person who was always willing to do what he could to help others. He would drive hours to help with projects or to spend time with family. He always brought joy to those he was around. Danny also loved being an uncle to his nieces and nephew, and the joy he brought to their faces while they played will be sorely missed by all. Danny was a Chicago sports fan, and loved cheering for the Bulls, Blackhawks, Bears, and most of all The White Sox; but not the Cubs. Never the Cubs. Visitation Sunday, June 26th from 3:00-8:00 p.m. and Monday June 27th at 9:00 a.m. until time of Celebration of Life at The Oaks Funeral Home 1201 E. Irving Park Rd., Itasca.
