Caroline E Bennett

"Caroline E. Bennett, 75, of Hanover Park, died on April 23, 2024. Carol was born on December 8, 1948, in South Chicago. 

Beloved wife of Forrest “Dan”; loving mother of Craig (Stephanie) and Jason; cherished grandmother of Brooke, Bryce, and Braden; dear daughter of the late John and Marie Wachowiak; fond sister of Terrance (Sharon) Wachowiak and sister-in-law of Sandy (John) Brown. 

In 1961, Carol met Forrest Bennett in Calumet City, living only one house from each other. In 1971, Carol and Dan were married for 63 years as a couple and 52 years in marriage. Carol graduated from Elizabeth Seton High School in 1967. After graduating high school, Carol worked in retail at Marshall Fields and later became a daycare provider for over 30 years. Carol enjoyed cleaning her home, attending sporting events for her children and grandchildren, shopping, and being a member of the local VFW.  

Visitation on Wednesday, May 1st, from 3:00-8:00 pm at the Oaks Funeral Home, 1201 E Irving Park Rd (at Prospect) Itasca. Friends and family will meet for the Funeral Mass on Thursday, May 2^nd, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Peter the Apostle Church 551 N Rush, Itasca.
