Alvera McDonald nee Brandl; age 101; Beloved wife of the late Daniel J.; Loving mother of Gregory (Rosemarie), Steven (Diana) and Michael (Kathleen); Devoted grandmother of 10 and great-grandmother of 18; Dear sister of the late Lorayne (the late Lawrence) Rossi and Robert (the late Audrey) Brandl; Fond aunt of many. Longtime Itasca resident. In recent years, Alvera was a resident of Friendship Village in Schaumburg. She was one of the founding parishioners of Saint Peter the Apostle Church. Former receptionist for the Itasca Park District. Visitation at Saint Peter the Apostle Church Friday, July 29, 9:00 am until the Celebration of the Mass, 10:30 am. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, donations to Hopedale Medical Foundation or Saint Jude Childrens' Research Hospital would be appreciated.
