Biography

Alice Jean Beine nee Ollmann, age 88, passed away in her sleep early Saturday morning, June 17, 2023. Alice was born October 8, 1934, to the late Fred and Carrie Ollmann in Elk Grove Township, Illinois. She was married to the late Keith Beine for 65 years until the time of his death in 2020. She lived in Elk Grove Village for 71 years and has now lived in Itasca since 2005. She was the loving mother of Kenneth, Kent, and Cheryl (John) Pigott. Beloved Nana of Carrie, Bonnie, and Brian Pigott. She was a very active member of Bethany United Methodist Church of Itasca all her life. Any meal that was prepared at Bethany Church, somehow Alice had her hand involved in it. Alice sang in the choir and played handbells at the church with Keith, and her daughter Cheryl was the director. She was an avid collector of precious moments figurines. For years, she took part in campfire girls with Cheryl, and as a youngster she was a 4H participant. Alice was an avid hockey fan. She was a season ticket holder for the Chicago Blackhawks for many years and then the Chicago Wolves right up until the end. She knew many players and enjoyed watching the games on tv if she was unable to go to the game. As her time was winding down with Bethany Church, she took up working at the Itasca Pantry. Whatever job she took on she gave it 110%. She would do so much for so many people always thinking of others first. She will be greatly missed. Visitation Friday, June 30th 3:00-8:00 pm at The Oaks Funeral Home, 1201 E Irving Park Road (at Prospect), Itasca. Family and friends will meet Saturday, July 1 at The Center (formerly Bethany UMC) 400 N. Walnut Street, Itasca for a viewing from 9:00 am until time of Service, 9:30 am.
